Cannabis legalization is at the doorstep and e-cigarette policy is rapidly evolving. These have the potential to dramatically affect tobacco control. This presentation will explore possibilities for cross-substance learning on policy approaches for alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes and cannabis. We will compare patterns of use, relative risks and current regulation. We will define and apply a public health approach for reducing harms associated with substance use in Canada. Finally, we will discuss policy opportunities and practice implications.
