Webinar: Tobacco Control Interventions for Young Adults: Lessons Learned

Leave The Pack Behind shares lessons learned from almost 15 years of tobacco control experience targeting the young adult population. Referring to theory, practice and specific case-scenarios, the 90 minute webinar addresses: understanding of important differences between young adults who smoke and youth and adults who smoke; and the appeal and effectiveness of contests, self-help materials, nicotine replacement therapies, and counselling. Finally, with specific attention to Leave The Pack Behind’s demographically-tailored programs and services, participants will identify ways to access and promote interventions that engage young adults in conversations about tobacco use and effectively activate smoking cessation behaviours in this population.
