Developmental Evaluation of LEARN Communities of Practice

Through the University of Waterloo’s Propel Centre for Population Health Impact, a developmental evaluation of the LEARN CoPs is being conducted. The main goal of the evaluation is to build research-based evidence to enhance knowledge use within the LEARN CoPs. The guiding conceptual framework of the evaluation aims to further explore the relationship between other related concepts, such as: shared identity, psychological safety, social capital, and sense of belonging. The report presents findings and recommendations from an online survey conducted with CoP members in March-April 2010. A qualitative phase of the evaluation (including in-depth interviews) is currently underway and will build on the findings of this report.
