This case study report - Legislation and Implementation of Collingwood Bylaws 00-36 and 05-36: Smoking Ban for Playgrounds and Playing Fields: Lessons Learned - is intended for tobacco control practitioners who are working to develop smoke-free outdoor spaces bylaws in their communities. It details the Town of Collingwood's experiences and lessons learned around developing, implementing and enforcing a smoke-free outdoor spaces municipal bylaw in July 2000. This report was the first to be developed by the Learning through Evidence, Action and Reflection Networks (LEARN) project.
