This one-day workshop is for anyone interested in working on Tobacco-Free Sports and Recreation within organizations, groups and local municipalities. Participants will learn about why Tobacco Free Sports and Recreation (TFSR) is important for their communities, understand how other groups and organizations have successfully implemented TFSR policies in their organizations, and have an opportunity to work on plans for tackling TFSR in their own communities. Interactive and participatory learning approaches will help participants learn from each other and build local responses for community issues. This session will be of interest to people interested in tobacco-free environments, youth, people working in municipal recreation organizations and public health practitioners.
